Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Oversee an annual planning process to expand and improve the system of care for homeless people in the New Mexico Balance of State Continuum of Care (CoC) region, which is all of New Mexico except Albuquerque. Write the annual Continuum of Care application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to fund the participating projects. All aspects of the process have the goal of improving and expanding our system for ending homelessness in New Mexico.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Coordinate the regular meetings of the Balance of State Continuum of Care Board.
• Coordinate the bi-monthly meetings of the NM Coalition to End Homeless membership
• Coordinate one or more meetings of the BoS CoC Impartial Review Committee.
• Evaluate projects based on performance measures.
• Assist other staff of NMCEH in monitoring the CoC grantees and emergency shelters at their program sites and provide technical assistance to grantees as requested to help them improve their programs.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications:

College degree associates or higher (bachelors or higher preferred)
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to manipulate and analyze data on spreadsheets
Two years of experience in human services or related field
Driver’s license and ability to travel within New Mexico including some overnight travel
