Project Assistant/Web Assistant

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Project Assistant/ Web Assistant, (1.0 FTE 40 hours/week), Non-exempt. The National Minority Aging Organization - Technical Assistance Center (NMAO-TAC) team is seeking a Project Assistant/Web Assistant to support the work of a federal grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Community Living. The goal of the grant is to develop culturally sensitive educational and outreach materials for the Aging Network and American Indian/Alaska Native elders 55 and older.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The work will include assisting and supporting the work of the Project Coordinator, office support skills, maintenance and updates for the NICOA website, development of partnerships with other agencies and outreach to NICOA members through phone, email and other means. Major project deliverables deadline is September, 2014.Work is performed under the supervision of the NMAO-TAC Project Coordinator.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements: verifiable relevant experience in graphic design, writing, editing, web page maintenance, relational database systems or metadata (library catalogs for example), data collection and entry, advanced office support skills, ability to travel both in and outside of state, valid driver's license and auto insurance, initiative, ability to solve problems resourcefully, strong communication skills, strong computer skills, willingness to learn or receive training to improve skills.
