Program Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Program Manager works under the supervision and guidance of the Executive Director to ensure that Dismas House residents receive compassionate, quality, supportive services designed especially to meet the needs of motivated individuals transitioning from prison/jail into society. Must be dedicated to the continuing development of an evidence based, best practice re-entry program model for returning citizens. Dismas House serves 100 to 125 residents annually.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

*Supervision of Dismas House Program Staff & Interns and community volunteers.
*Counsels residents with personal concerns, providing positive support and reinforcement.
*Conducts weekly therapeutic group sessions (women & men)and supervises program elements (A.A. meetings, life-skills sessions, relapse prevention focus groups, and other volunteer/program implement activities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum MSW degree required. Prefer LMSW or LISW. Graduate degree in related field considered with relevant experience.

Desired Experience: 3+ years case management and/or counseling experience in a nonprofit setting; experience in working with disadvantaged populations, corrections, and/or substance-free living environments; experience in community building and leadership/empowerment; compliance with funding source requirements; supervisory experience desired.
