Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Implement our programs to advance world peace through global engagement with private/civic networks in ABQ NM: guide and motivate staff/interns; enhance image with other organizations; energize members, partners and donors in advancing citizen diplomacy; build partnerships to grow/support our mission; advocate for programs to all stakeholders.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Board Relations - Work with the board in order to fulfill the organization’s mission.
• Responsible for leading Global Ties ABQ in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors. This includes serving as an ex-officio of all Board committees.
• Responsible for communicating effectively to the Board and providing, in a in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Bus Admin, Public Admin, Int'l Relations or similar academic background or equivalent work experience; experience in managing a team and working in a diverse cultural environment; experience in managing budgets; cultural awareness and knowledge of international issues; effective verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of a 2nd language and experience advocating to elected officials and agencies a plus.
