Main Areas of Responsibility:
The primary responsibilities of this full-time position include: coordinating classes, building and maintaining positive community partnerships with area schools and organizations, and teaching interactive and experiential violence prevention classes. While this position will be trained to teach a variety of different violence prevention curricula, this position will focus on our anti-bias and anti-bullying curriculum with youth, primarily in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Administrative & Development Coordinator, and additional Instructors, the Program Coordinator organizes, schedules and executes programs for groups. A Bachelor's Degree and/or two years of working in violence prevention, sexual assault/domestic violence, anti-bias education or teaching and proficiency in Spanish are a plus. Interest in empowerment-based self-defense is also a plus.
