Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for obtaining basic preliminary information from immigration clients and preparing cases for filing with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services under supervision of an attorney. Copies and translates documents, prepares statistical reports and files necessary documents; schedules clients and reviews client legal cases that may include battered spouse waivers and other domestic violence/sexual assault-related immigration processes.

Other Information/Requirements: 

AA or BA strongly preferred; Bilingual English/Spanish required; plus two years of experience in clerical work required; working experience with low-income immigrants/refugees and or social work involving domestic violence/sexual assault situations is preferred; Handles confidential information; Proficiency in MS, Outlook, and Excel required as well as a demonstrated aptitude to use computer/internet-based systems.
