Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Obtain basic preliminary information from immigration clients and preparing cases for filing with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services under supervision of an attorney. Copies and translates documents, prepares statistical reports and files necessary documents; schedules clients and reviews client legal cases for VAWA, U visas, battered spouse waivers and other domestic violence/sexual assault-related immigration processes. . Pay range starts at $11.80/hour DOE.

Other Information/Requirements: 

HS diploma plus 2 years of experience in clerical work required. Associates degree preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish required, working experience with low-income immigrants/refugees and or social work involving domestic violence/sexual assault situations is preferred. Proficiency in MS, Outlook, and Excel required as well as a demonstrated aptitude to use computer/internet-based systems. Handles confidential information.
