Main Areas of Responsibility:
The YWCA Henderson House is a housing program for veteran women experiencing homelessness.
The Resident Advocate is responsible to assist residents in performing routine tasks, helps residents in learning to live independently, gain social skills, re-integrate into the community, and assist with skill enhancement in accordance with each resident’s independent development plan. This is an on call position with varying shifts.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Implement effective program of care. Develop supportive relationships with residents. Ensure the goals of the residents are being met. Recommend approval or denial of visitors and off-site community passes. Maintain accurate records and reports on a daily basis. Ensure house rules are followed and curfews are met. Maintain daily communication with the house manager. Exhibit professionalism that enhances his/her performance, and that of the team, program and organization.
