Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

RCCCNM is hiring a Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Victim Advocate (.75 FTE) who will focus on increasing access to services for incarcerated victims and survivors of sexual violence through formal agreements, provision of sexual assault crisis services, and system-wide training. The project will be implemented in coordination with correctional facilities, La Pinon Sexual Assault Recovery Services, CYFD and the NM Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, and Albuquerque SANE.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Familiar with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA).
Participate in the development of Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART ).
Provide sexual assault services to victims of sexual assault who are incarcerated.
Ensure grant reports are timely and accurate each month, quarterly and end of year for all funding sources in PREA victim advocacy.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Master’s Degree preferred in Public Health, Social Work, Criminology or related field; or Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
Two years of program management, implementation and monitoring experience.
Experience with correctional populations preferred.
Possess self-motivation, enthusiasm and leadership qualities.
Proficient skills in Excel/Word.
Must obtain Criminal Records Background clearance.

Salary Range: $26,000-$28,000 based on experience, medical insurance; paid leave; employer-sponsored retirement plan
