Principal Gifts Officer

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The United Way of Central New Mexico (UWCNM) is seeking a Principal Gifts Officer (PGO) to provide innovative and strategic leadership for major individual gifts in support of a dynamic fundraising and community impact organization. The successful candidate is a results-oriented individual with proven major gift fundraising experience and a passion for advancing the mission of UWCNM to improve our community.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

S/he will be able to demonstrate a successful record of accomplishment in identifying, cultivating and obtaining major ($25K+) individual gifts as well as an ability to work individually and within a team. The PGO will work closely with volunteer leadership as well as the Administrative, Development, Marketing and Community Impact teams to execute a strategy that will drive revenue growth and donor engagement.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Community Development, Social Work or related field and at least five years’ experience in fundraising, sales, development, volunteer coordination and/or social work. Candidate must have excellent written communication skills and proven public speaking experience. Knowledge of MOVES Management, legacy giving, and our local community are a plus.
