Prevention Educator

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Prevention Educator will work closely with youth and community members to identify issues, priorities, and develop strategies and program-based responses to improve their community and create positive social change against sexual violence. Coordinates relevant educational and community events for all aspects of sexual violence as defined by the Rape Crisis Center of Central New Mexico.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Clear understanding and experience within an anti-oppression framework, gender-based violence, and social justice.
• Experience in program development, community based evaluation, and group facilitation
• Displayed ability to work collaboratively, particularly in school environments
• Strong facilitation and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong writing skills
