Prevention Education Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Rape Crisis Center of Central New Mexico is seeking a Prevention Education Coordinator. This position is an education and outreach position which will under general supervision, plan, implement and evaluate sexual violence prevention projects, including delivering short and long-term educational presentations/workshops, develop and implement community organizing initiatives aimed at preventing sexual assault and abuse and conducts outreach to underserved populations.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Develop, implement, and evaluate projects targeting youth that will address all aspects of sexual violence. Develop and manage work plans for youth projects. Recruit youth to participate in activities and organizing efforts. Build supportive relationships with community members, including teachers, parents, service providers, and other pertinent organizations.

Other Information/Requirements: 

English / Spanish bi-lingual preferred. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office or Open Office or the equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree required. Background in program and curriculum development desired. Understanding of various cultural values, beliefs, and norms; especially as they pertain to community-led program development
