Main Areas of Responsibility: 

New Mexico First’s next leader will be a compelling advocate of the organization and its mission, a seasoned manager of people and complex projects, and have a strong dedication to building effective and enduring partnerships.

Specific areas of responsibility include:
1. Revenue generation
2. Management and administration
3. Statewide representation
4. Public policy research, publishing and advocacy
5. Civic engagement marketing, planning, management, implementation and follow-up

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Specific talents include:
• The vision and strategic skills to sustain the mission effectiveness of the organization
• The business acumen that ensures the financial health of the organization
• The teambuilding and networking abilities to attract a dedicated board and staff, build long-lasting partnerships and donors
• Broad-based knowledge and skills in research, civic deliberation methods and processes, and advocacy

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree preferred (preferably in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Relations and Communications, Law, Business or a related field)
• Five years of senior management level experience required. Seven years of experience preferred (preferably in nonprofit, public policy or government sector)
• Strong foundation in robust financial budgeting and fiscal control practices that support a nonprofit budget over $500k.
