Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The New Mexico Community Foundation (NMCF) board of directors seeks an energetic, inspiring and creative President and CEO with demonstrated leadership experience and management skills to advance an ambitious statewide philanthropic agenda. NMCF (New Mexico’s only statewide community foundation) oversees a diverse portfolio of social welfare, economic justice, equity, health, environmental protection, educational reform, and artistic initiatives throughout New Mexico.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Among other responsibilities, the President and CEO is responsible for growing the foundation’s endowment, donor-advised funds, program resources and operational funding to support the success and development of impact-oriented nonprofit organizations across the state.
The President and CEO will enjoy an extraordinary opportunity to articulate and executive a refined strategic direction for the organization to strengthen the foundation’s philanthropic impact throughout the state.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• A seasoned leader and professional manager with a strong record of business success and innovation
• Entrepreneurial, innovative and goal-oriented
• Background in nonprofit leadership, business development, finance, administration, fundraising and organizational development
• Career experience in a top leadership position in community philanthropy
• A solid understanding and appreciation of the business models driving growth and expansion in community foundations
