Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Junior Achievement of New Mexico is a leader in educating youth about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and workforce readiness. The Board of Directors (Board) is seeking candidates for the position of President. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the Board and JA USA to lead the full spectrum of strategic and operational efforts to enable the organization to achieve its mission of empowering young people to own their economic success.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Develop and implement strategic plans; assure organizational financial stability; develop and implement fundraising initiatives; manage program implementation; lead efforts to expand impact; assure compliance with Board and JA USA expectations; recruit and orient Board members; develop policy and assure proper governance; recruit, hire, develop, and manage staff; and represent JA New Mexico with governmental, political, community, civil, and industry groups.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 7+ years’ experience in business or nonprofit leadership; excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills; demonstrated ability to build effective, long-term relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and clients and to utilize network to meet business goals. Nonprofit management experience, CFRE, experience in education and/or working with a Board, and a strong existing network are all desirable qualifications.
