PREA Victim Advocate

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

PREA Victim Advocate (.75 FTE) who will focus on increasing access to services for incarcerated victims and survivors of sexual violence through formal agreements, provision of sexual assault crisis services, and system-wide training.

The project will be implemented in coordination with correctional facilities, La Pinon Sexual Assault Recovery Services, CYFD and the NM Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, and Albuquerque SANE.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Familiar with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA)
Participate in the Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART ).
Ensure access to confidential communication with RCCCNM through the PREA and NM state standards.
Provide training to incarcerated populations, facility staff and others as needed
Accurate grant reporting each month, quarterly and end of year
Maintain clear and positive communication with Executive Director, SANE, detention facility and other professionals.

Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: 30 - 40 hours/week/variable evenings and weekends required
Salary Range: $26,000-$35,000 based on experience, medical insurance; paid leave; employer-sponsored retirement plan
