Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Create a learning environment through an Reggio Emilia approach that supports learning in all areas: self, family and community; social and emotional; literacy and language; physical; scientific inquiry and mathematical; approaches to learning and creativity; adhere to New Mexico PreK standards; create lessons plans, and maintain a safe, clean and democratic classroom.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Participate in weekly staff Collaborative Curriculum Meetings, Monthly Team Meetings and Individual Meetings with supervisor and co-workers.

Be prepared to share and present documentation once a month for staff Collaborative Curriculum Meetings and Team Meetings; documentation must focus on child or teacher provocations that supports curriculum and teacher understanding of children and their ideas.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements: AA in Early Childhood Education with commitment to earn a BA in Early Childhood Education, at least three years’ experience with three- and four-year-olds and an understanding of children. Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia approach and bilingualism (English/Spanish) preferred.
