Portfolio Quality Officer

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Portfolio Quality Officer (PQO) is responsible for monitoring the loan portfolio in accordance to repayment agreements and collecting delinquent payments, minimizing losses and ensuring maximum recoveries. The PQO communicates with past due clients via site visits, phone calls and written communication; exercises outstanding customer service, negotiation and problem-solving skills and provides financial counseling.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The PQO must have outstanding customer service, communication and problem-solving skills; be proactive, well-organized and diligent in carrying out compliance schedules; be a team-player and committed to achieving outstanding individual and team results; be committed to continuous learning and improvement and to being a steward of Accion’s client-centered, values-based, high-performance organizational culture.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or business administration plus one year of experience in collections or portfolio management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal credit training experience and bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred.
