Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Essential Functions
- Support the development of high-quality/effective pre-literacy instruction
- Ensure that children are able to detect and produce phonemes for auditory training
- Conduct baseline/repeat evaluations using assessments including, but not limited to CELF, OWLS, PLS-5, and Vineland
- Create goals, write reports, document progress and complete billing sheets
- Continuously monitor, track and analyze student achievement data

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements
- Master’s degree (accredited) in Speech Language Pathology/Sciences or Communication Disorders
- New Mexico license to practice (can wait if out of state)
- Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide comprehensive treatment
-Willingness to learn Listening and Spoken Language techniques and principles
- Strong interest in working with young children with hearing loss to develop listening and spoken language
