Main Areas of Responsibility:
Under Director of Accounting, responsible for processing staff and client payroll accurately and in compliance with strict deadlines; calculates hourly ratings and time studies for associate payroll; maintenance of employee information in automated and manual payroll files; reviews time sheets and entry for accuracy; resolves discrepancies. Performs and/or directs the entry of time sheets into appropriate payroll databases; supervises the maintenance of confidential staff/associate files.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Compliance with State/Federal laws regarding minimum/sub-minimum wages. Preps and distributes payroll checks to other locations as required. Provides actual/projected payroll financial reports and excellent customer service to employees. Responds to general inquiries. Leadership of staff, problem solving, fair distribution of workload and career development. Subject matter expert for payroll, advising Sr mgmt on best practices and policies. ID and propose action plans to increase dept productivity.
