Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Youth Development Professional – AmeriCorps Member will be placed in Albuquerque Public Schools sites and/or Boys & Girls Club sites during the school day and during out of school time, OST, at the Boys & Girls Clubs. During the school day, they will be working with students on the following: Restorative Practices and/or Academic Interventions with previously identified at-risk youth. During OST, they will implement the evidence based Positive Action and Power Hour programs.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

(1) Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes; (2) effectively implement and administer programs for members; (3) monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of the members; (4) ensure a safe, healthy and positive environment; (5) monitor members; (6) ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly branch/site staff meetings, and: (7) maintain club appearance by following daily cleaning list.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This is a contracted position that lasts for nine months. Within the nine months you will need to complete 900 service hours. You will receive a bi-weekly stipend of $700 and an educational award at the end should you complete your hours.
