Part-Time UNM Work Study - Directory Research Assistant

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Assist with the online New Mexico Nonprofit Directory. www.nmnonprofits.org. *Assist w/marketing the directory to the community. *Outreach to nonprofits not yet listed in the Directory, to encourage them to be listed. *Review and edit submitted information for publishing. *Import Directory information into CNPE database. *Editing nonprofit profiles at the request of nonprofits and update relevant info in database.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Assist with ongoing research and updating the online New Mexico Grantmakers Directory. www.nmgrantmakers.org. *Assist w/researching grantmakers and creating profiles for grantmakers who fund in New Mexico or provide funding opportunities for which NM nonprofits are eligible to apply. *Communicate w/grantmakers to verify their profiles in the Directory. *Communicate on an annual basis with grantmakers to review and update profiles. *Edit grantmaker profiles at the request of grantmakers.

Other Information/Requirements: 

*Proficient with Microsoft Office 2007, Ability to navigate the web w/ease and summarize information about New Mexico nonprofits and national grantmakers. Clear communication and writing skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work w/diverse groups on projects. *Interest in the nonprofit community in New Mexico. *Familiarity w/and experience using database software. *Experience working or volunteering w/a nonprofit organization.
