Part Time State Director of Program Services, Albuquerque, NM

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

To direct the planning, implementation and evaluation of March of Dimes program services and government affairs activities across New Mexico including a statewide preconception initiative, public and professional health education, grants, awareness, community services, advocacy and volunteer recruitment/development.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Evaluate the maternal/child health needs in NM
Cultivate partnerships with maternal/child health agencies and health reporters
Ensure that March of Dimes public and professional education activities target the greatest needs and measure changes in knowledge, behavior or birth outcomes
Secure funding to ensure delivery of chapter programs, including NICU Family Support and statewide preconception initiative
Supervise the NICU Specialist

Other Information/Requirements: 

Master's Degree
Knowledge of maternal and child health system and programs
5 years experience in related field
Demonstrated experience implementing and evaluating a large-scale community program.
Able to manage and build teams with staff and volunteers
Strategic planning, oral and written communications skills, analysis plus problem solving skills
knowledge in program planning, evaluation, data analysis, grants review and grant writing
Experience in government affairs a plus
