Museum Educator

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The museum educator will be a member of the education team responsible for developing, updating, and delivering winter, spring, holiday, and summer camp programs; participate in school development programs at the museum; and be involved in community outreach efforts with Rio Rancho Public Schools and APS.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The museum educator will work closely with the Director of Education, Education Coordinator, Museum Educator, Volunteer Coordinator and many student and adult volunteers. Have a passion for science and history and a desire to educate children from pre-K through 7th grades in an engaging way. The candidate will ensure a consistently high level of service and quality programming.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Experience working with children, especially ages 6-12
• Experience working in museums, camps, and informal science education is preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred
• Flexible schedule, both daily and weekly
