Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director of the New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force (NMBTF) is responsible for all aspects of business operations, fundraising and community engagement for a nonprofit organization. The Executive Director develops and implements various strategies to help lead a coordinated effort for collective impact to improve breastfeeding rates and duration and reduce breastfeeding disparity across New Mexico.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Serves as principal administrative officer of the NMBTF. Responsible to the Board of Directors in effectively administering a well-planned and coordinated effort in accordance with the administrative requirements reflected in stated goals, by-laws, budgetary and legal requirements, and policies of NMBTF.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Commitment to reducing breastfeeding inequity in NM.
Bachelor’s (required); Master’s preferred.
3 yrs experience w/ breastfeeding advocacy, support, or education. IBCLC not required.
3 yrs of management or comparable experience.
Strong structural race lens; experience/past work on designing & implementing racial equity initiatives.
Significant expertise & knowledge of nonprofit or public management, organizational skills, system/policy change.
Demonstrated skills in both public and private fundraising.
