Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Valley Community Interpreters Program (VCIP) is a community-based medical interpreter training and cultural competency program. The Outreach Coordinator Independent Contractor is a part time 20 hours per week to assist in the planning and implementation of VCIP’s medical interpreter training programs and to establish strong working relationships with program participants and parallel local organizations.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Offers program support for training participants, program administrator and community members.
Work hours will be flexible and some weekend/evening required.
Review and process all completed training registration forms information in Excel DB.
Conduct, evaluate and grade all required language assessments.
Maintain communications both by email and phone with program participants.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Must be Bilingual English and Spanish
Teaching and public presentation experience needed
Excellent computer skills a must – MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Understanding of the diversity of New Mexico’s community
Knowledge of New Mexico based community service organizations desired
