Outreach Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The part-time contract Outreach Coordinator will search out, meet with, recruit, and ensure participation by new professional organizations, nonprofit organizations, corporations/small businesses, and community leaders to the New Mexico Allied Council on Tobacco (NM ACT). This contract position will begin in November 2018 and will conclude in June 2019.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Develop a list of statewide partner prospects, including a potential schedule for outreach. Coordinator must schedule prospect meetings, secure a minimum of 10 engaged new partners, and provide follow-up activities to ensure new partners are fully engaged in our tobacco-control efforts. Additional meetings may be required.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The following skills and experience are requested:
- Previous fundraising, sales or volunteer recruitment/engagement experience
- An understanding of nonprofit advocacy and policy work within New Mexico
- An understanding of how potential partners can be engaged in tobacco-control policy work
