Out-of-School Youth Specialist

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Out-of-School Youth (OOS) Specialist recruits, supports, and guides young people to complete a high school diploma or GED/HSE and transition successfully into employment or postsecondary education. Using the JAG Model, the Specialist delivers trauma-informed, project-based learning and provides long-term, holistic support to participants.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Complete JAG training modules (Foundations, Trauma-Informed Care, and Project-Based Learning). Attend the National Training Seminar (NTS) each July. Actively engage in state and local workshops, collaborative meetings, and peer learning opportunities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Experience working with disconnected youth and utilizing trauma-informed approaches.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and build trusted, supportive relationships.
Proficiency with technology platforms such as Google Workspace and Video Conferencing.

Salary Range: 
55,000-60,000 DOE + benefits
