Operations/Administrative Assistant

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Operations Assistant will report to and be cross-trained by the Operations Manager of the Rio Grande Food Project and the Program Manager of the PNM sponsored Good Neighbor Fund in all elements of operation of the food pantry and for as-needed support for the PNM Good Neighbor Fund.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Work with staff and volunteers to accomplish our mission and deliver outstanding service to those we serve. Support operations by fulfilling job duties for missing team members. Participate in handling food storage/rotation, food recovery, restocking and repacking food. Perform assigned duties on an as needed basis for the PNM sponsored Good Neighbor Fund. Customer registration, database entry, and basic computer skills to order food and record key data points.

Other Information/Requirements: 

One-year customer service experience required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to use computer for routine tasks, data entry, email and job related tasks. Ability to work with people of various socio-economic background. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
