Office Assistant

Job Description
Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Starting Pay: $11.00 - 13.00/hr. (DOE)
Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm, M-F

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Answers phones, takes messages, directs callers, answers questions about the program
• Manages the mail (pick-up, drop-off, recording payments and donations)
• Prepares reports, invoices, client files, and other paperwork
• Assists Client Services, Volunteer Coordinator, and Accounting Manager
• Data entry
• Maintains files
• May need to occasionally drive meal delivery routes
• Other duties as assigned

Other Information/Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or GED (Some college or equivalent work experience preferred)
• Two years related experience or relevant coursework
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and/or cashiering experience
• Able to exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable working with computers and computer software, including complex databases
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and up to date insurance
