New Mexico Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Director

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Direct the working network of NM’s 10 SANE programs, coordinating training, technical assistance, promoting recruitment and retention of nurses and tracking national standards.
Oversee statewide SANE activities; coordinate, support, and enhance existing and developing SANE programs; ensure NM SANE compliance with state laws and national standards; address emerging SANE issues as they arise.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Centralized contact person - SANE
• incorporate national best practices
• Ensure consistency -SANE programs.
• Statewide SANE Site visits
• Support SANE program development
• Training of SANE nurses (conference, new SANEs)
• Daily TA and connect TA resources
• Evidence Kit /Tracking oversight
• Outreach, media coordination, policy development, and legislative support on SANE issues
• Timely submission of fiscal and operational reports, grant writing, budget preparation

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Master’s in related field or equivalent life experience.
• Strong self-motivation, critical thinking & capacity to prioritize multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and leadership skills
• Driver’s license, access to vehicle, and ability to drive
• Computer proficiency
• Maintain Confidentiality and no Conflict of Interest
• Pass Background Check
Full-time, 30 hours/week, some evening/weekend events.

Salary Range: 
$65,000 to $80,000 DOE
