Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Identity Project is supporting Native American Student Services of Santa Fe Public Schools in their search for a NASS Artist Educator to spearhead the delivery of Identity Project programs in the 2022-2023 academic year. The Identity Project is an innovative, artist-driven adaptive intervention designed to tackle barriers to identity development and learning in underserved youth.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

This is a special NASS initiative designed to exclusively serve the Native American student populations at two Santa Fe High Schools in the 2022-2023 academic year.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• 3+ years of teaching experience with underserved youth
• An active creative practice in literary, performing or visual arts
• Fluency (or willingness to become fluent) in multiple creative disciplines
• Integrated project management skills; detail oriented, strong communication skills
• Familiarity with social and emotional learning and project-based learning
• Fundamental understanding of current educational landscape/climate in New Mexico as it relates to underserved Native American youth

Salary Range: 
Compensation is $8,000 for the contract term of one academic year ($4,000 per semester)
