Main Areas of Responsibility:
Part-time position open for clerk for admissions/museum store. Position is 20 to 30 hours a week. Scheduled hours between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, Saturday thru Friday, including holidays. May be required to work evening special events. Schedule needs to be flexible.
Clerk's responsibilities are:
• Welcome visitors to the Museum
• Respond to all concerns/inquiries of customers with a sense of importance
• Handle money,other payment transactions, operate the point of sale computer system
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
• Help customers with the selection of merchandise
• Maintain overall knowledge of Museum and store
• Participate in store’s physical inventory process
• Maintain cleanliness of store
• Ensure stock levels on the sales floor are maintained
• Organize and price merchandise, maintain merchandise signage
• Make public address announcements when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by Museum management and supervisors
