Museum Educator

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The museum educator will be a member of the education team responsible for developing, updating, and delivering winter, spring, holiday, and summer camp programs; participate in school development programs at the museum; and be involved in community outreach efforts, including, but not limited to, annual museum events and a Rio Rancho Public School afterschool program.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The museum educator will work closely with the Director of Education, Education Enrichment Coordinator, Museum Educator, Volunteer Coordinator and many student and adult volunteers.
The part-time museum educator will work approximately 20 hours/week.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to work in an organic team-oriented and fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience working with children, especially ages 6-12
• Experience working in museums, camps, and informal science education is preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• Flexible schedule, both daily and weekly
