Microenterprise Development Program Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Job Purpose:
To build and manage an innovative, effective program to provide job training, entrepreneurial training, and placement for ~100 ex-offenders a year, utilizing best practices from programs around the US.

•Manage a team to build and operate multiple training worksites (including possible retail, food services, and mechanic services) for participants

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

•Create and revise reporting systems and procedures to ensure goals are being met
•Research best practices around the country to maximize results
•Oversee a collaboration of entities to create conversation between groups working to provide economic development solutions for ex-offenders on re-entry
•Monitor business startup’s health and collaborate with local microfinance entities to ensure smooth operation and cashflow

Other Information/Requirements: 

Skills/qualifications:
• Creative problem solving skills, communicate effectively, driven self-starter, managerial expertise and experience, experience working with entrepreneurs and/or ex-offenders, experience building nonprofit programs and teams
• Business development/entrepreneurial experience and ability to speak Spanish a strong plus.
• Experience working with ex-felons a plus
