Mental Health Worker/Recreation and Housing specialist

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

For Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. ACT provides treatment, rehabilitation and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses who are or have been identified as "difficult to treat" clients. Recreationial/Housing Support Specialist to work one weekend day and 4 days per work week. Successful applicant will provide 2-3 weekend activities to promote socialization of clients.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Recreational/Housing Suppport Specialist will provide recreational and individual support, facilitating a mutually supportive team atmosphere that promotes the philosophy of providing quality, consumer-driven services within the Psycho Social Rehab Component in addition to housing support
.

Other Information/Requirements: 

BA/BS in human serivce related field preferred. HS diploma/GED may be subsituted with 3 years experience in human services; OR Associate's degree in related field + direct experience in field. Previous experience working with individuals who have a severely disabling mental illness (SDMI). The following areas of expertise may be substituted: mental health, developmental disabilities, or clients with dual diagnosis.
