Mental Health Worker

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Mental health worker for Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team in Albuquerque. To provide treatment, rehabilitation and support services to clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. This position will function as a Housing/Benefits/Vocational Support Specialist to work Tuesday through Saturday. The schedule is not adjustable. Successful applicant will provide 2-3 weekend activities to promote socialization of clients.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Successful applicant will provide housing, benefits and individual support to clients. This position facilitates a mutually supportive team atmosphere that promotes the philosophy of providing quality, consumer-driven services within the Psycho Social Rehab Component in addition to benefits and housing support. On call is required.

Other Information/Requirements: 

BA/BS in human serivce related field plus 1 year direect experience with SDMI population preferred; Education may be substituted with the following: AA and 3 years directly related experience with adult SDMI population or High School Diploma and 5 years direct experience with aldult SDMI population. Experience must be specific to adults with severe mental illness; Experience with housing, benefits (SSI, Section 8, etc) a definite plus; Bilingual preferred
