Membership and Outreach Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Seeking a highly organized, self-motivated and passionate Membership and Outreach Coordinator. In collaboration with the E.D, position is responsible for communicating and engaging with membership and key community stakeholders in a relationship building role for the Coalition. Duties include: outreach, research, the Coalition’s social media presence, and implementing a community needs assessment tool to help the Coalition strategically plan its statewide programming efforts.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The ability to work collaboratively and creatively is vital to this position. Duties may include educating and translating domestic violence legislation and policy to stakeholders, tribal outreach and membership engagement, representing the Coalition at community events in a professional manner, and working in collaboration with tribal communities and tribal programs to address violence against Native women.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Experience conducting research and community needs assessments is highly desired. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a social science or pre-law field. An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience may be substituted. Position is a full-time, short-term, contract till September 30, 2015; continuation beyond September 30, 2015 is dependent on grant funds.
