Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provides professional medical physics services for a principal radiation research/therapy unit of the UNM Medical Group. Evaluates and interprets medical radiation treatment prescriptions. Collaborates with medical providers in the design and modification of effective radiation treatments for patients; oversees and monitors patient treatment plans, provides quality assurance, participates in development and execution of equipment monitoring, calibration, and safety surveys.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Participates in the implementation of new technologies and meets expected timelines.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Master's degree in Radiation Therapeutic Medical Physics or an equivalent field or discipline. Board certification as a Medical Physicist (American Board of Radiology or equivalent). Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.
