Main Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for developing/executing the organization’s strategic marketing plan. Active cross-departmental collaboration is essential for success, to work with department heads in developing annual advertising, promotions, public relations and community outreach plans as well as developing the supporting annual marketing & advertising budgets and managing revenue goals and expenditures to meet the board-approved annual operating plan.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Secures TV/radio coverage to promote our adoptable pets, services and community programs, and the need for volunteers. The Director oversees media appearances by staff and volunteers and makes media appearances as needed. Success assessed by effectiveness of plan in raising the organization’s positive public profile both locally and nationally, inspiring donations from individuals and businesses, increasing volunteerism, and by its utility for Animal Humane’s senior management team and Board of Directors.
