Male Involvement Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Rape Crisis Center of Central New Mexico is seeking a Male Involvement Coordinator. This position is an education and outreach position which will design and deliver educational presentations to young men (age 12-22). The projects and presentations revolve around identifying issues, priorities and strategies to affect positive social changes focusing in the area of sexual violence.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The position demands strong written and oral communication skills. A background in education will be helpful as well as experience facilitating and/or education in the areas of sexual violence and community organizing. The coordinator will work primarily in middle and high schools meeting with groups of boys or men of color there. The position demands cultural competency in the target groups.

Other Information/Requirements: 

English / Spanish bi-lingual preferred. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office or Open Office or the equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree required. Background in program and curriculum development desired.
