Live-In Residential Internship

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Dismas House New Mexico has a Fall Semester opening for a live-in residential intern for our women's' transitional housing program. Interns live onsite with our Residential Manager and help to maintain a positive, compassionate environment where change can and does happen. The program is under the supervision of a Program Director, and includes additional support from case management staff, clinical interns, and community volunteers.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Residential Interns assist with:
• Assisting with evening check-in of 5 to 6 residents;
• Welcoming community dinner program volunteers 2 - 3 nights a week;
• Assisting with evening programs;
• Ensuring a safe, compassionate, welcoming home for our residents.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements:
Preferred BA or current student of Sociology, Social Work, or Psychology. An interest in Community Building and Grassroots led social change, strongly desired.

Residential interns are able to work or attend school while fulfilling their commitment to the community. A monthly stipend is provided.
