Licensed Case Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The YWCA is seeking a full-time Case Manager for the transitional living center for homeless women veterans and their dependent children. This position supports residents in their goal to achieve self-sufficiency and is part of an interdisciplinary support team including the program manager and program director. The team works together to assist residents with implementing their independent development plan goals in order to move into permanent housing with the skills needed to be successful.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Case Manager is responsible for day-to-day case management and supporting residents. Successful candidate will have: knowledge of veteran issues and an understanding of medical terminology, knowledge of homeless populations and transitional supportive care, excellent people skills, and the ability to effectively communicate any concerns related to the residents to the Program Director. Must be open to traditional clinical/behavioral techniques as well as multi-modem approaches.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Masters of Social Work and current license required. Experience with women veterans’ issues,homeless population,crisis counseling, supportive transitional housing programs. Must possess a current, legally valid New Mexico driver’s license and meet the organization’s driving record requirements and have record clear of criminal convictions.
