Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Reporting to the Chair of the Board of Directors (BOD) , the Director is responsible for all aspects of library operations and functions, including leading and supervising volunteers and staff; developing and managing the annual library budget; managing programs and services in accordance with PCL strategic goals; proposing new library projects, services and policies; providing leadership for continuous improvement of services to the community; and, managing communications with the community.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Additional areas of responsibility include Board relations, planning, finance, human relations, public and patron relations, and physical facilities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Master's Degree, Library and Information Science from school accredited by the American Library Association and at least 5 years recent experience in library administration, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, technology skills, and verbal and written communications.
• Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic library environment.
