Main Areas of Responsibility:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop a strategy for selecting and pursuing lawsuits that will advance FOG’s mission, which includes enforcing and protecting the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA), Open Meetings Act (OMA), and The First Amendment.
Identify and litigate cases from initial filing through the appellate process, including amicus briefing, which further FOG’s law reform and enforcement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Five or more years of experience as a licensed attorney.
Admitted to practice law in New Mexico.
Significant civil trial court experience required, with a working knowledge of the Inspection of Public Records Act, Open Meetings Act and First Amendment.
Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated, passionate about transparency in government and the First Amendment, well organized with good follow through and an excellent writer and oral communicator.
Salary Range:
80,000 - 120,000, depending on experience
