Internship for BSW/MSW Student

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Casa Q serves LGBTQ ages 14-17 youth who are experiencing homelessness. Casa Q is a new and innovative program, filling an essential need for LGBTQ youth in our community. As such we seek interns who can be flexible as our program develops, and who are self-driven.

We hope you’ll consider being part of our ground breaking nonprofit organization. Interns assist with client referrals and linkages and advocating for clients in educational settings.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Attend client appointments with service providers and provide case notes to program.
• Conduct client intakes and interviews, obtain collateral information and interview sources.
• Research, conduct and document life skills activities with youth residents.
• Provide information about Casa Q to community and social service providers.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Good oral and written communication skills, creative and innovative, flexibility and willingness to learn new skills a must.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• This is an unpaid internship for students pursuing their BSW or MSW.
