Independently Licensed Therapist: Safe Home

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide therapeutic services and supports to individual youth and milieu setting within the Safe Home; a short-term shelter for young people (11-18) who are experiencing homelessness or unstable housing.
• Low billable demands, so as to spur team-oriented work, and to encourage creativity.
• Complete comprehensive assessments for youth.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Complete risk and trauma screens youth.
• Provide psycho-social groups for youth.
• Provides individual, family, group and crisis response therapy as needed.
• Create individualized treatment and discharge plans.
• Refer youth and families for appropriate levels of care.
• Opportunities to encounter and work with many forms of mental and behavioral struggles.

Other Information/Requirements: 

State Licensed as LISW/LCSW, LPCC, LMFT. Assessment, evaluation, and documentation skills. Knowledge of DSM, diagnosis, and treatment. Flexibility, Good time management, computer and organizational skills. Knowledgeable in the developmental and emotional needs of children, adolescents, and families.
