Main Areas of Responsibility: 

As the Human Resources Manager, you will oversee the lifecycle of employees from the moment they apply to the time they exit our team. The Human Resources Manager is devoted to the vision and mission of Animal Humane by supporting and partnering with our staff.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Assisting leadership with employee relations matters, such as offers of employment, compensation, promotion, and termination decisions.
Championing performance management processes and education.
Providing guidance and working with leaders to navigate performance improvement and documentation.
Recommending compensation structures and conducting position reviews.
Responsible for staying up to date on all relevant state and federal laws and ensuring organizational compliance with document retention policy.

Other Information/Requirements: 

You have:
At least 3 years’ experience as a generalist.
HRCI and/or SHRM certifications
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
A solid knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, etc.
Familiarity with unemployment and Workers Compensation claims.
Excellent computer skills as well as HRIS (iSolved) experience.
