Housing Voucher Specialist

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Housing Specialist works with community agencies to provide rental housing to program participants who are homeless and who have a behavioral health diagnosis. The successful candidate will have excellent customer relations and time-management skills. Experience with HUD Sec 8 or HUD Permanent Supportive Housing Programs is desired.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Specialist will manage 150 vouchers, conduct housing inspections, annual certifications, and work with tenants, Community Support Workers, and landlords to ensure successful housing placements

Other Information/Requirements: 

Familiarity with the Albuquerque rental market, Fair Housing Laws, and Landlord/Tenant relations ACT is preferred. Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required. Must have transportation. Bachelors Degree in relevant field. Competitive salary and benefits. Position is Full-time exempt.
