Housing Stability Advocate

Type of Job: 
Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Advocate for housing placement, including housing referrals, housing search, application process, and other move-in activities; coordinate with housing providers and landlords; create a Housing Sustainability Plan with each resident; provide referrals to community resources; maintain case records as required by funding sources; adhere to confidentiality policy; and conduct intakes and coordinated entry assessments.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, effective written and oral communication skills; ability to relate to women and children experiencing homelessness; certified in First Aid and CPR; valid Driver’s License and ability to drive company vehicle; knowledge of community resources; and previous housing management/case management experience desired.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, social sciences, or related studies preferred or a minimum of two years of case management or commensurate experience with transferable skills.

Work Schedule: Monday– Friday, 40 hours a week with flexibility to conduct meetings evenings or weekends, as needed
